An Alumni Society is a group of Ohio University graduates and friends who share common interests, experiences, and connections. Societies are made up of volunteers and bring alumni together to support our university. Ohio University has two types of societies: Academic and Special Interest.
Academic Societies are groups of alumni and friends of the university who graduated from or have an interest in specific academic college or program.
Special Interest Societies are groups of alumni and friends of the university who share common interests in non-academic areas.
Society activities include annual meetings, student recruitment events, continuing education opportunities, alumni award programs, football tailgates, reunions, networking and career connections for students. Societies also raise money to establish endowed scholarships, advance student programming, or better the institution.
